My Spirit #3

I am experiencing some serious spiritual warfare within me today.  I can literally hear multiple voices guiding me in different directions.  I see the good working in miraculous ways.  I see the evil working in deceptive ways.  I am lucky that I have been spending time in the word so I can understand that Satan doesn’t always look evil.  Sometimes he disguises himself in beautiful and appealing ways.  Both voices are so similar.

One way that I am learning to differentiate the two is; The Lord will put you in situations that you will have to learn from and feel pain, emotions, and sometimes punishment. You will have to push through to get to the light.  The devil will give you short-term answers and quick solutions.  This will make you feel better, this will take your pain away, if you were living so wrong before why was everything going so great?  Just because everything isn’t perfect doesn’t mean you were wrong.  Nobody’s perfect.  Very confusing! wouldn’t it seem that the Lord would only want you to have a great and easy life with no roadblocks and Satan would stand in front of you and put up roadblocks?

Genesis 3:2-5
The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’
“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

I sure am glad that I am not the only one tempted.

Thank you for the strength, I am thankful!

My Spirit #2

Although I have always known who you are and what you do, I have never lived for your light.  Today I have taken the first step in living my life in truth.  I have taken a step like this before and turned my back on you.  I will use my previous experiences to draw strength for my future.

Today I took steps in the right direction, I shared my story, I shared my blog with loved friends.  I have hope that I helped others through my experiences.

Today I spent time in the word, and shared that time with you Lord.

I will use my spirit to guide me in all my decisions, not just the ones I think I need help with. I am learning more and more that I am not in control, not an easy thing for me, and I am humbled.

I am thankful!

Ephesians 3:12
In Him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

my spirit #1

Although I now how powerful you are God.  I never validated the power of Satan.  I have come to you Lord in my past and been filled up with joy! You have blessed me more than anyone I know.  I did not give Satan any thought.

In my greatest adversities you have whispered in my ears to comfort me. In my triumphs you have given me strength to reach great heights, and accomplish so many dreams.  I have always know you were there, and I am thankful.  I never validated what Satan could do.

I was warned by the Christians around me that the closer I get to you God, that the harder Satan will try to trap me, I did not listen. I never validated what Satan could do.

In my life I have grown closer to you Lord.  Every time I get closer to you lord I end up very far away from you.  I never understood why.  I never validated what Satan could do.

Today I understand what I am up against!  I will love you with all of my heart, and with you by my side, I will not allow Satan to tempt me. Today I validated what Satan could do.

Proverbs 3-5
Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding;
